As with every high-quality, high-performance piece of equipment, proper maintenance will preserve its performance and longevity. Just like lubricating a bicycle chain, sharpening your ski or snowboard edges, and waxing your surfboard, your pogo will work best if properly maintained.
Here are a few maintenance tips that will help you get the most out of your Vurtego pogo:
Read the manual!! Click here to download a V3 manual .pdf file, which you'll have to print and fold.
Keep it Clean - Always keep your shaft free of dings and scratches. You can buff them out with a very light sand paper, and polish them with a Scotchbrite pad or some other type of polishing pad. The shinier the better!!
Keep it Lubed - Just like a car's engine, you need change the oil in your stick every 3000 miles. Well - just change it when it starts to feel a little sluggish and less springy than usual. Follow the instructions in the manual!
Some guys use baby oil, some guys use Vaseline, or some combination of the two - or you can use the stuff which we use when we assemble the sticks, which can be purchased off of this website for a few bucks. It's 100% silicon oil, 1000 CST.
